About The Position

The clerk is to monitor communications through the Housekeeping Office and assist the department with daily housekeeping functions. This role involves managing communications, dispatching requests, maintaining databases, and ensuring the accuracy of room status information. The Housekeeping Clerk will also be responsible for loading staff into the Hotsos System, monitoring service orders, and working with the QA team to ensure proper closing of section floors. Additionally, the clerk will assist with guest requests, clean rooms as needed, maintain a clean office environment, and manage radio and device logs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, team building and problem solving skills are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to operate and I-Touch Handheld.
  • Must be able to use a handheld radio for communication.
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of AS400, PROMUSP, LMS.
  • Proficient in the use of Hotsos/REX programs.
  • Proficient in the use of the Chargerback system.
  • Knowledge of Harrah's employment policies, BBP Training and Risk Management (Not required at time of hire; may be learned in probationary period agreed upon at time of hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Two years housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from both guests and internal departments with a warm friendly greeting.
  • Dispatch guest requests to housekeeping personnel via the Hotsos system.
  • Maintain the lost and found databases in both the Hotsos and Chargerback systems and secure items for safekeeping until turned over to security.
  • Responsible for all room attendant assignments, accounts for all rooms and makes room status information available to the front desk.
  • Monitor and compare REX and LMS to ensure accuracy of the data in both systems.
  • Utilize the REX system to complete all morning room assignments for GRA’s.
  • Properly load the daily staff into the Hotsos System to ensure properly delivery of service orders.
  • Monitor the Hotsos system to ensure all service orders are properly dispatching and ensure that staff members are responding in a timely manner, redirecting work orders in the system if one individual is overloaded.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure proper closing of section floors in both REX and LMS.
  • Code REX assignments properly based on system orders from Hotsos.
  • Work with the supervisory team to create and maintain daily reports for distribution to hotel management.
  • Assist with the delivery of guest requests when needed.
  • Clean rooms as needed and perform all related responsibilities of room attendant.
  • Maintain a clean office environment.
  • Use of proper radio etiquette.
  • Maintain all radio and device logs and inventory for the department reporting discrepancies to leadership when discovered.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner.
