About The Position

The Central Services Attendant (Hostar) will provide Forbes Five Star service with attention to detail, quality, and consistency. Stocks and supplies the Hostar Carts used by the Room and Turndown Attendants. Delivers Hostar Carts with clean linen and fresh amenities in preparation for each new shift. Completes daily assigned work orders, meeting quota of work. Communicating via radio throughout shift remaining alert and responding to orders that pertain to designated area position provides the opportunity to select an appropriate leveling program based on quality of work and job knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
  • Basic ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to numerous types of guest requests, adhering to established delivery deadlines
  • Efficiently process and prioritize tasks.
  • Hand folds robes and terry to proper fit Hostar trays
  • Machine wash and hand dry guest room glasses.
  • Hand fill cleaning solution bottles and ensure all bottles are correctly labeled.
  • Restock Hostar Carts with amenities, cleaning tools, cleaning products and linen and deliver to designated buildings following the proper sequence.
  • Follow proper sequence in the Hostar Cart delivery process.
  • Retrieves trash and bins of dirty linen and replaces with empty bins for the next shift in linen closets
  • Organize clean linen (sheets and terry) bins and store them in designated areas.
  • Ensures all dirty linen bins are collected and in order for linen company vendors.
  • Assist delivering guest requests including cribs, rollaways, microwaves, pet amenities, ice.
  • Assure working condition, cleanliness and good appearance of the items, meeting established hotel standards.
  • Weekly conducts guest and cleaning supplies inventory reporting when running below par level.
  • Assist discarding guest room terry and sheets.
  • Maintain and conduct preventive maintenance with all Hostar equipment (wheel condition e.g., air grease doors, repair damaged panels, etc.)
  • Safely operate Hostar equipment and display work habits that promote accident prevention.
  • Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
  • Ensure security of hotel property, guest rooms, storage and storeroom access, including assigned keys and communication devices.
  • Monitor and prevent pilferage of hotel supplies.
  • Remain attentive to guests, continually serving them to ensure an enjoyable visit.
  • Remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult guest situations, resolving issues whenever possible and reporting to supervisor or manager.
  • Adhere to health department sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly, reporting maintenance needs, to supervisor or manager.
  • Respond to work orders received via Knowcross, delete work orders once complete.
  • Log radio calls and follow-up with Office Coordinators on completion
  • Report facility maintenance needs via Knowcross.
  • Follow lost and found protocols.
