About The Position

Equinox is opening a new club in Culver City and is hosting a job fair for this location. The club is situated in the revitalized former home of Sony Pictures, in the creative hub of Culver City. The Housekeeping Associate will be responsible for ensuring the club and its equipment are clean and well-maintained, providing excellent customer service to members and guests, and maintaining the appearance of the club's entrance and lobby. This role also involves cleaning and stocking the locker rooms, organizing various rooms (storage, laundry, exercise, coat rooms), managing towel supply, performing equipment maintenance, using janitorial equipment, receiving and storing deliveries, and assisting with special events. The associate will also be responsible for notifying the Maintenance Manager of any issues and providing high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year in janitorial or related experience
  • High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment
  • Prior experience in cleaning and laundry services is highly preferred
  • Ability to service athletic equipment along with previous experience working with cleaning products and hand tools
  • Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team oriented environment where one willingly takes on additional tasks with a positive attitude to help out the team/department.
  • Must be able to follow (written and oral) instructions and established procedures
  • Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching. As well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in cleaning and laundry services is highly preferred
  • Ability to service athletic equipment along with previous experience working with cleaning products and hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the club and exercise equipment are clean and well maintained while providing all members, prospective members, and guests with excellent customer service
  • Ensure that the sidewalk entrance and lobby are presentable
  • Clean the locker room and stock all locker room consumables
  • Clean and organize storage, laundry, exercise, and coat rooms
  • Maintain an adequate supply of towels on the exercise floor
  • Provide maintenance for all equipment
  • Use janitorial equipment appropriately and efficiently
  • Receive and store all deliveries
  • Assist with special events
  • Notify the Maintenance Manager when any rooms or equipment need immediate attention
  • Provide each member and potential member with the best quality customer service
