About The Position

Sylvan Shores Health & Wellness is hiring Housekeeping Aides and Laundry Aides to help maintain resident rooms and common areas. The housekeeping aide follows established procedures to ensure these areas are appropriately cared for and cleaned. The position is offered full-time and PRN, on a four-days-on, two-days-off schedule. Requirements

• At least one year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to speak and understand English to communicate with supervisors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, and fixtures in apartments and common areas.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and mop tile floors.
• Spot-clean walls and windows.
• Dust furniture and empty trash cans.
• Clean baseboards, pictures, lights, and HVAC vents.
• Honor additional housekeeping requests from residents during the allotted time.
• Assist with picking up trash.
• Assist with activity room setups, including moving furniture.
• Report information pertinent to residents’ well-being directly to management.
• Perform additional housekeeping tasks as necessary.
