About The Position

The Housekeeping Aide provides cleaning services to help maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. The role supports American Senior Communities’ commitment to patient-centered care and compassion. Housekeeping services must follow facility policies and procedures and comply with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

Provide housekeeping services in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to facility policy while maintaining residents’ privacy.
Knock and announce before entering any resident room.
Post signs to indicate safety hazards whenever housekeeping activities create environmental hazards for staff, residents, visitors, or others.
Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds after a resident is discharged.
Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids, and whenever required by facility policies and procedures.
