Housekeeping Aide - Special Projects
About The Position
At Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), the Housekeeping Aide supports a friendly, welcoming vacation environment and helps create memorable experiences for Owners and guests. The role cleans, maintains, and stores cleaning equipment; reports preventative or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms; delivers guest requests and sets up furniture in guest rooms upon request; and removes trash, dirty linen, and room-service items from guest-facing areas. The position also involves welcoming guests, anticipating and addressing their needs, interacting promptly and professionally with colleagues and guests, contributing to team goals, and following company policies and safety procedures. The role requires availability for various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days. Physical activities include reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Background and drug screening may be required, subject to company policy and applicable legal requirements.
Requirements
- Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
- Able to reach overhead and below the knees and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
- Identify and report preventative or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
- Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms by request.
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room-service items from guest-facing areas.
- Welcome and greet guests, anticipate their needs, and address them.
- Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
- Contribute to team goals.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures.
