About The Position
As a Housekeeping Aide in Long Term Care, you'll do more than simply perform your daily tasks; you'll build impactful relationships with the individuals who consider Cheltenham Community their home. In this role, you will provide heartfelt support to our residents by maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
Requirements
- Secondary school graduate or approved equivalent
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check. Applicable to British Columbia applicants.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent cleaning and sanitizing of the residents’ rooms as well as the common areas in the community
- Ensure the supplies are suitable and the equipment is in proper working order
- Deliver the cleaning in a positive and professional manner
- Ensure residents' privacy is respected
- Prepare rooms for new Residents ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and welcoming
