About The Position

This role involves ensuring the cleanliness and condition of assigned areas meet designated standards using checklists. The Housekeeping Aid Lead will identify and report maintenance issues, request repairs, and clean/maintain cleaning equipment. They will also complete required paperwork, respond to guest and internal requests, and assist management with employee-related tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, serving as a role model. The position requires adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent customer service. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds, and reaching overhead and below the knees with bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Use checklists to ensure that cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meets designated standards.
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Request preventative maintenance or non-urgent repairs using appropriate method.
  • Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
  • Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
  • Document and report outstanding issues.
  • Complete required Housekeeping paperwork.
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests, Front Desk, or At Your Service requests.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
