Housekeeper - Jennings at Brecksville
About The Position
The Housekeeper position is responsible for performing cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy, observing waste disposal procedures, and assisting in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment. This role also involves reporting equipment malfunctions or areas in poor repair, dispensing supplies, attending in-service training, and observing infection control procedures. The Housekeeper must maintain a clean uniform, be dependable and punctual, and follow all facility policies and programs, including Resident's Rights and safety programs. Additionally, the role requires understanding and exemplifying the Mission Values of Jennings and complying with Corporate Compliance Programs. The Housekeeper may be asked to assist in other hospitality areas when needed.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
- Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
- Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
- Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
- Observe infection control procedures related to the Housekeeping Department.
- Come to work in a clean, neat uniform.
- Work in other Hospitality areas, such as Dining Services and Laundry, when called upon to do so.
- Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.
- Follow facility safety program.
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
- Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook.
- Know, understand and exemplify the Mission Values of Jennings: Respect, Compassion, Community, Discovery of Potential and Celebration of Life.
- Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Programs.
- Perform other related duties as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor.
