About The Position

The Housekeeper position requires exemplary work ethics and the ability to assist and interact with seniors in a caring, kind, and respectful manner. The candidate must be able to speak and read English to understand simple written notes, verbal instructions, and to communicate effectively with residents. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 40 pounds, move quickly throughout the facility, and physically assist residents in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans each Resident’s room once a week, as scheduled, following instructed cleaning techniques and quality standards.
• Cleans each Resident’s bathroom daily, including emptying the Resident’s trash daily.
• Cleans common areas of the facility on a routine or as-needed basis, as instructed and requested by the Supervisor.
• Is observant and aware of any situation or occurrence in the facility that may pose a safety hazard to Residents or staff. Reports such observations immediately to the Supervisor.
• Performs job duties in accordance with safety rules.
• Attends all meetings and in-services as requested by the Executive Director or Supervisor.
• Be available to work at times, days, or positions other than those scheduled as requested by the Executive Director or Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as may be requested from time-to-time.
