About The Position

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Magnolia is seeking a Housekeeper. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms and baths to prevent infections and cross-contamination, as well as cleaning offices, sitting, and eating areas. The work must adhere to JCAHO, Federal, and State regulations, FBH mission, policies, and procedures. The position also includes performing various environmental services duties to maintain the facility's neatness, orderliness, and sanitation. A key responsibility is coordinating the safe transportation of hospitalized patients to and from their residences/appointments, as well as picking up meals. This includes transporting patients to and from the facility site and assisting in the overall day-to-day functioning of the program, including aiding other staff in patient chart production and meal provision. The Mental Health Worker/Driver is responsible for communicating any problematic or clinical issues that occur during patient supervision or transportation to staff.

Requirements

High School Graduate
Current Motor Vehicle License with clean MVR
Minimum of 1-3 years housekeeping experience working in a hospital or nursing home environment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize patient rooms and baths to prevent infections and cross contamination.
Clean offices, sitting & eating areas.
Clean and service building areas according to established procedures.
Move furniture, equipment and supplies in and around facility.
Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
Coordinate safe transportation of hospitalized patients to and from their residences/appointments.
Coordinate meal pick up.
Transport patients to and from the facility site.
Assist in the overall day-to-day functioning of the program.
Aid other staff in patient chart production.
Assist with meal provision.
Communicate to staff any problematic or clinical issues that occur during supervision of or transportation of patients.
