About The Position

PARC Retirement Living is an award-winning developer and operator of independent senior-living communities. We’re seeking a Housekeeper to join our Cedar Springs PARC team in North Vancouver. PARC communities are made for active seniors; inspiring spaces where our residents come to live well and engage with a vibrant community of like-minded people. Each of our residences is purpose-designed to give residents the freedom to live independently, nurturing their physical and mental well-being. As a PARC Housekeeper, you are a caretaker of this vision – responsible for cleaning resident suites and common areas to create a safe, tidy and pleasant environment for residents.

Requirements

At least two years of similar experience in the hospitality or senior-living industry.
Completed Grade 10 high school education or equivalent, along with the WHMIS program.
Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
Excellent attention to detail and work to the highest cleaning standards.
Able to self-direct and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and other professional services engaged with our residents.
Criminal Record Check required.
TB test required within the first month of employment.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and sanitizing suites, bathrooms, kitchens, floors and common areas according to a pre-set schedule.
Performing laundry services for residents as needed.
Identifying, reporting and logging potential maintenance issues to management.
Maintaining the housekeeping room, equipment and carts in safe and sanitary condition.
Replenishing housekeeping carts and managing cleaning chemicals safely.
