About The Position

This is a temporary position for a Housekeeper in the Environmental Services Department. The role involves performing cleaning procedures, observing waste disposal, assisting with housekeeping equipment, and reporting any malfunctions or areas in poor repair. The Housekeeper will also dispense supplies, attend training, observe infection control procedures, and maintain a clean uniform. Additionally, the role may require assisting in other hospitality areas like Dining Services and Laundry, following Resident's Rights policies, and adhering to the facility's safety program. Dependability, punctuality, and a cooperative attitude are essential. The Housekeeper is expected to understand and exemplify the Mission Values of Jennings: Respect, Community, Discovery of Potential, and Celebration of Life, and comply with Corporate Compliance Programs. Other related duties may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
  • Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
  • Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
  • Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
  • Observe infection control procedures related to the Housekeeping Department.
  • Come to work in a clean, neat uniform.
  • Work in other Hospitality areas, such as Dining Services and Laundry, when called upon to do so.
  • Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.
  • Follow facility safety program.
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook.
