This position involves responding promptly to guest and inter-departmental requests, preparing and transporting housekeeping carts, and entering guest rooms following established procedures. The role includes replacing guest amenities and supplies, changing linens and terry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash and used items, and ensuring all appliances are present and functional. Responsibilities also extend to maintaining the tidiness of rooms by dusting, polishing, and removing marks from furnishings and walls, as well as performing floor care duties such as vacuuming carpets. The role requires adherence to all company and safety policies, reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing safety training. It also involves maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards, including assisting individuals with disabilities. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as is meeting quality expectations. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds independently and over 25 pounds with assistance, push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over various surfaces, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, grasping, and manipulating objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Extended periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking are also part of the job, along with performing other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
