Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Complete assigned work from a job list with minimal supervision and coaching
Relate positively and work effectively with other people in a team situation
Able to push, pull, lift, and carry laundry bags, heavy boxes, and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, frequently bending, stooping, and reaching
Familiarity with common housekeeping methods, materials, and equipment - or a willingness to learn
Satisfactory completion of post-offer, pre-employment physical, including a tuberculin skin test or blood assay

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience, especially in a healthcare or senior living setting, preferred

Responsibilities

Keep resident apartments and shared spaces feeling fresh and comfortable by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing with care
Clean and sanitize appliances, fixtures, and furniture so residents feel safe and valued in their home
Ensure restrooms, locker rooms, and hand-sanitizing stations are always well stocked and ready for use
Launder, fold, and stock bedspreads and linens
Follow Longview’s high standards for cleanliness and safety, including NYS DOH guidelines, to protect our community
Use a computerized work management system to keep track of the spaces you’ve completed—helping the team stay organized and connected
Pitch in with additional tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of a community where every role makes a meaningful difference
