About The Position
This position must provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying surrounding for the residents, employees, and visitors. The housekeeper must follow the instructions as given for handling, cleaning, disposing, and moving of objects/materials.
Requirements
- Must be able to work assigned hours as scheduled.
- Must be able to use cleaning supplies as directed.
- Must be able to use housekeeping equipment.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in an affordable housing environment.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning of halls, common areas, and vacant units, to include but not limited to, floors, walls, doors, bathrooms, grounds, stairwells, windows and appliances as instructed.
- Develops property cleaning schedule with supervisor for adequate coverage of buildings and grounds.
- Maintains appropriate levels of cleaning supply inventory.
- Maintains cleaning equipment in working order.
- Post notices as needed.
- Work with maintenance and community manager for scheduling of vacant unit cleaning.
- Decorate for the holidays including the hanging of decorations.
- Assist in community meetings, holiday functions and special resident requests as needed.
Benefits
- $500.00 signing bonus paid after three months
- $1,500.00 retention bonus paid after six months
