About The Position

The URJ’s Camp Eisner is seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to help maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of residential cabins, common areas, restrooms, dining facilities, and staff housing. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for campers, guests, and staff. The Housekeeper works as part of the camp operations team and collaborates closely with colleagues to uphold high standards of cleanliness across the property year-round.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 15 + lbs
stand for extended periods
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak seasons
Attention to Detail: Ability to thoroughly clean and maintain various areas according to standards.
Team Player: Ability to follow direction and collaborate with other housekeeping staff.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Professionalism: Maintains a respectful and positive demeanor with staff and guests

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize cabins, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces
Maintain high-traffic areas and follow daily cleaning schedules
Support deep cleaning and respond to urgent needs
Assist with event and retreat setup and reset
Safely use and store cleaning supplies and equipment
Report maintenance or safety concerns
Help keep supplies organized and stocked
Contribute to a positive team environment and support additional operational needs as they arise
