About The Position
Adams Place is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team working days who is able to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families, fellow employees and visitors. The qualified applicant for this position must be able to be on feet 7-8 hours a day, lift heavy objects and work with standard cleaning chemicals. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 4:00 position with a four-hour rotation every 2nd or 3rd weekend.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, understand and speak Standard English
- Must be flexible, be a team player, and have a positive attitude
- Must enjoy working with geriatric and other healthcare patients
Responsibilities
- Clean resident homes, including Floor care (sweep, mop, vacuum), Dusting furniture both on top and underneath, Clean kitchen, Clean bathroom(s), Empty trash, Change sheets on bed(s)
- Clean common areas as assigned
- Scheduled rotation for laundering linens
- Follow established cleaning schedules
- Carry center trash to dumpster
- Empty bags from pet waste stations
- Work safely, following proper procedures when using chemical agents
- Other duties which may be assigned from time-to-time
