About The Position

The Housekeeper must have physical stamina and strength to be able to perform the various duties in the Distribution Center. They assume responsibility for all janitorial duties and maintains cleaning supplies inventory. They ensure good housekeeping and follows safety procedures. The role involves regular standing, lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, cleaning difficult to reach places using a step ladder as needed, reaching with hands and arms, crouching or crawling, with repetitive motions. The ability to work in elements such as heat and cold, and stand on hard surfaces for the duration of the shift is also required. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities

Performs all janitorial responsibilities: vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and offices.
Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies, towels, soap, trash bags, etc.
Ensures good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
Operates floor scrubber.
Maintains trash removal from breakrooms, restrooms, and offices.
Assists and cross trains in distribution departments upon request.
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems.
Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments.
Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
