About The Position

Responsible for performing work aimed at preventing the spread of any diseases by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and efficiently sterilizing equipment and apparatuses. This role is crucial for maintaining a sanitary environment within the medical center, adhering to infection control guidelines, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of patient and non-patient areas.

Requirements

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
Related experience of 0-1 year preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, balance, and handle/manipulate objects frequently.
Ability to see and hear constantly.
Ability to talk constantly.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning duties in alignment with the organization and according to pre-established schedules and infection control guidelines.
Completes waste stream removal.
Cleans and services assigned areas according to established procedures.
Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the Medical Center departments.
Performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
Operates assigned equipment, such as floor machines and buffers.
Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
