Housekeeper (HH)
About The Position
Legacy is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for a 180-unit property located in the Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting resident apartments, common areas, bathrooms, and public areas according to a schedule and established procedures. The Housekeeper will also clean up after spills, accidents, and take out the garbage when necessary. The ideal candidate will need to build and maintain positive relationships with staff and residents. This position is responsible for operating machines standard to housekeeping processes including extraction equipment, vacuums, along with various other duties as assigned. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of related experience and/or training in general housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and disinfecting resident apartments, common areas, bathrooms, and public areas according to a schedule and established procedures.
- Cleaning up after spills and accidents.
- Taking out the garbage when necessary.
- Operating machines standard to housekeeping processes including extraction equipment and vacuums.
- Performing various other duties as assigned.
- Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, according to established standards, observing proper cleaning technique.
- Following proper care, maintenance, and use of equipment.
- Reporting observations concerning equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions.
