About The Position

Our roles go beyond just providing guest with a clean room and freshly made bed. We aim to create a memorable and distinctive experience for them. As a Houseperson, you'll handle a variety of housekeeping tasks, maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the entire hotel. They are empowered to move about their space and take action as needed. Whether delivering guest requests, stocking carts, cleaning rooms, and public spaces, or other similar tasks, the Houseperson plays a key role in making sure the hotel environment contributes to an excellent guest. No matter your position, there are essential factors for success: ensuring a safe work environment, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting yourself professionally in appearance, uniform, and communication. Houseperson will be on their feet for extended periods, actively engaging in tasks that involve standing, sitting or walking, and will take a hands-on approach (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance) Excelling in these tasks (and other reasonable duties as assigned) is crucial for Houseperson to consistently deliver exceptional results for our guests and our business. This position requires flexible scheduling availability, must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

  • Upkeep the public areas
  • Assisting with Housekeeping as much as needed by providing basic housekeeping duties (changing the sheets, changing and arranging towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guest check out)
  • Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
  • Recognize and report potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Maintaining shelf organization in the storerooms and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Cleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures, carpets, walls, and more in public areas such as the lobby, pool, and public restrooms
  • Delivering special request items such as cribs to guest rooms
