About The Position
A warm and respectful family on the Upper West Side is seeking an experienced temporary housekeeper to provide coverage while their longtime housekeeper travels abroad this summer. Their current housekeeper has been with the family successfully and is described as exceptionally hardworking, detail-oriented, and caring. The family is hoping to find someone with a similar level of professionalism and expertise for a six-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience caring for high-end homes and be highly knowledgeable about fine finishes, including delicate dark wood floors, marble surfaces, and polished nickel fixtures. The family values meticulous attention to detail and careful cleaning practices over speed.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to commit to the full six-week assignment
- Non-smoker
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a home that is partially occupied during service days

Responsibilities
- Deep and maintenance cleaning of a 2,900 sq. ft. apartment
- Care for fine finishes, including: Dark hardwood floors, Marble countertops and showers, Polished nickel fixtures
- Laundry, including linens and bedding
- Dishes and kitchen upkeep
- Steaming and ironing dress shirts
- General organization and tidying
