About The Position
A full-time position responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of offices, patient rooms, clinical areas, and common spaces across three Watauga County sites (two medical and one dental). This role involves using supplies to clean, disinfect, and sterilize frequently touched surfaces, removing trash, and properly disposing of medical waste. Some cleaning tasks can be performed during working hours, while others like mopping and vacuuming will be done after hours. Weekend work may also be required.
Requirements
- A basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and supplies.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
- Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.
- Must be able to use your own vehicle and travel between Boone sites.
Responsibilities
- Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
- Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
- Clean outdoor windows, pick up trash around entrances and sweep doorways
- Remove debris from sidewalks
- Empty trash
- Stock and maintain cleaning supplies
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Clean and maintain restrooms (to include supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels and soap)
- Wash and clean windows and mirrors
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
- Dust furniture and fixtures
