About The Position

A busy, active Brooklyn household of four is seeking a seasoned housekeeper to join its team. The home has two children, both of whom have nannies. The role will be 4 or 5 days a week and will include one weekend day. This home has a rooftop garden, and you will be responsible for it as well.

Requirements

Experienced with household systems and schedules.
Comfortable working in a staffed household.
Strong communicator.
Able to handle both housekeeping and light household-management responsibilities.
Experienced with laundry and garment care.
Comfortable working around other household staff and family members.
Good communication skills for coordinating schedules and tasks.

Responsibilities

Proactive ownership of cleaning the home, including creating and maintaining a cleaning schedule.
Perform routine deep-cleaning tasks such as kitchen deep cleans, window screen cleaning, and seasonal maintenance.
Notice and address areas needing attention without direct supervision.
Handle laundry, including family laundry, folding, organizing, and managing dry-cleaning logistics.
Maintain the rooftop garden.
Oversee inventory.
Make beds.
Perform general tidying up in common areas.
Keep the kitchen tidy, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trash.
Maintain organization and implement new systems as needed.
Coordinate effectively with vendors, staff, and principals in a busy family environment.
