About The Position

The Housekeeper maintains a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing a range of cleaning and recovery tasks. The Housekeeper follows operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss prevention standards and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The position is seasonal and scheduled two days a week.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
• Able to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
• Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
