About The Position

This is a temporary position located at 3600 Samarcand Road, Jackson Springs in Moore County with the NC State Bureau of Investigation. The agency aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of our greatest asset – OUR EMPLOYEES. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

Requirements

• Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job.
• Must be able to perform medium- to heavy-duty physical work including but not limited to: Extending arms over head, lifting mop buckets, and pushing heavy carts.
• Lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follows a work schedule that covers all phases of housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Cleans dorm rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Cleans ceilings, vents, and walls.
• Polishes furniture.
• Dusts and vacuums.
• Maintains floors including mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Shampoos carpets.
• Washes windows, screens, and blinds.
• Cleans and changes soiled or worn linen, pillows, and bed covers.
• Replenishes restrooms with towels, toilet paper, and soap.
• Cleans lavatories, commodes, urinals, mirrors, showers, and tubs.
• Removes trash from receptacles in all areas including from up to 55-gallon containers.
• Climbs four-foot ladders to clean windows, stock laundry cabinets and dust.
• Moves or slides heavy furniture up to 200 pounds.
