About The Position

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities. This is a part-time position with day shifts, 7a-3p, for 15 hours per week, with weekly pay. The Housekeeping / Environmental Services team is looking for individuals passionate about making a real difference in people's lives through the healing power of a clean environment, and who would like to grow their career.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and comprehend English
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
Dispose of trash and waste
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.
