About The Position

Alton Memorial Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper to join their team. This role is crucial in reducing infection by maintaining a clean facility for the hospital, medical office building, and Eunice Smith Nursing Home. The housekeeping department is responsible for daily cleaning of all patient care areas and the periodic cleaning of all offices and support space. The skills range from routine cleaning to sterile cleaning processes. This is a part-time role, 25 hours a week, working from 9:15 PM to 5:45 AM, every Monday and Friday, with weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs room set up and changes as needed, including changing linens, cleaning, mopping and furnishing.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure.
• Notifies supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that are in need of maintenance.
