About The Position

Steele Hill Resort in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, is hiring detail-oriented Housekeepers for its resort, which has over 150 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, and indoor and outdoor amenities. The role involves cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas; completing room turnovers; maintaining supplies and equipment; and reporting maintenance or safety concerns. Housekeepers provide professional service to guests and work independently or with the team, coordinating with the Houseman and notifying the Manager on Duty when appropriate.

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Compensation starts at $17.50 per hour, plus tips. Full-time positions are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and via radio.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete routine daily tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review daily assignment lists and develop an efficient cleaning strategy.
• Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas as part of daily housekeeping tasks.
• Complete all four steps of room turnover: stripping, cleaning, stocking, and formatting.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Provide friendly, professional service while interacting with guests.
• Work independently or collaboratively to complete daily assignments.
• Coordinate with the Houseman to assess team needs.
• Recognize issues requiring management attention and notify the Manager on Duty as appropriate.
