About The Position
Find your purpose by joining CentraCare in Benson as a Housekeeper, working to keep our patients safe and our facilities clean. Hospital cleaners sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged. Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms in all parts of the facility. Position includes working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position during the assigned shift.
- Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous cleaning experience in health care facility preferred but not required.
- Other types of cleaning such as private house or business cleaning helpful.
Responsibilities
- Sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged.
- Vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms in all parts of the facility.
- Working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
- Care for equipment, measure cleaning products and be alert to potential hazards.
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all internal and external customers.
