About The Position

Johns Island Post Acute is a gorgeous 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility in Johns Island SC, just 10 minutes away from historic downtown Charleston. We are currently seeking a housekeeper to join our expanding team! At Johns Island Post Acute, we value the relationships we have in our community, with our fellow colleagues, and also with residents and family members.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently or with a team
Ability to pass a drug screen & federal background check

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Long-Term Care or healthcare setting would be beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.
Empty trash cans and replace liners.
Sweep and mop floors.
Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
