About The Position

A warm, busy, and highly respectful family in the Barton Creek area of TX is seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented part-time live-out housekeeper to support the smooth day-to-day operations of their home. This is a long-term opportunity for a polished professional who takes pride in maintaining an organized, well-run household and who naturally integrates into family life with warmth, discretion, and initiative. The family had a beloved, longtime housekeeper of nine years who is stepping away toward retirement. They are hoping to find someone equally dependable, hardworking, and caring — someone with excellent integrity who is willing to jump in wherever needed and become a trusted extension of the household. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, works independently, anticipates household needs, and enjoys being visible, engaged, and interactive rather than remaining behind the scenes. The family values someone personable, flexible, and genuinely invested in maintaining a welcoming and organized home environment. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm. The family is open to fewer, longer days and will consider alternative schedule suggestions. Local candidates are preferred. Requirements

  • Legal to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all assigned areas of the home in a clean, neat, and organized manner
  • Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces
  • Dust, polish, vacuum, sweep, mop, wax, and care for floors and surfaces
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork
  • Make beds and maintain linen rotations
  • Replenish household supplies and maintain organized storage areas (family assistant helps with purchases and organization)
  • Empty trash and maintain outdoor areas, including driveways, garages, and pool areas
  • Water indoor and outdoor plants as needed
  • Replace light bulbs and notify the family of repair or maintenance needs
  • Handle household laundry with care and attention to detail
  • Read all labels and sort, wash, iron, steam, fold, and organize clothing and linens
  • Understand garment care, including dry-cleaning management
  • Maintain closets, storage spaces, and household organization systems
  • Assist with packing and unpacking during travel periods when needed
  • Run occasional errands including grocery shopping and dry-cleaning drop-off/pick-up
  • Answer the door and assist service providers as needed
  • Maintain silver and household fixtures
  • Support the family in keeping the home streamlined, functional, and welcoming
