About The Position

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services, located minutes away from Orlando in Maitland and Winter Park, Florida, treats individuals ranging from children and adolescents to adults for psychiatric issues, chemical dependency issues, and dual diagnosis. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean environment on all residential units, the learning center, the multi-purpose building, and administrative offices.

Requirements

High School education or GED preferred.
Minimum one (1) year in healthcare environment preferred
Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department.
Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.
Must be able to walk, stand, stoop and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours

Responsibilities

Cleans residential rooms and baths ensuring all patient areas are disinfected and meet property standards
Handles linens and personal clothing items in accordance with appropriate Infection Control Policies
Disposes of trash daily
Vacuums all carpets daily, vacuums upholstery as needed
Demonstrates Service Excellence w/Internal & External Customers
Washes windows, inside and outside of facilities
Completes detail cleaning daily
Is knowledgeable of and complies with the Quality Improvement Monitor of the department
Follows Hazardous Materials procedure for infectious diseases
Attends and participates in all departmental meetings
