About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role involves cleaning public and common areas, bathrooms, offices, and resident apartments according to established schedules and sanitation standards. Housekeepers interact with residents and family members in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner, while honoring residents’ privacy and preferences. The schedule is three days per week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The listed pay is $19 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of housekeeping experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting, such as a hotel.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, as well as cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

Clean resident rooms, common areas, dining spaces, and administrative offices, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
Launder and replace linens, towels, and other textiles as needed.
Follow the community cleaning schedule, protocols, guidelines, and safety precautions.
Build positive relationships with residents through friendly, respectful interactions.
Respect residents’ privacy and preferences while cleaning their living spaces.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or changes in residents’ needs to the supervisor.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and according to instructions.
Follow infection control and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and disposal of waste.
