Housekeeper
About The Position
Primary Purpose: To clean assigned areas of the hospital and to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. Areas of tasks: Removing trash & linen, bio waste throughout facility, conference setups, patient room discharge cleaning, daily room cleaning, emergency room cleaning, terminal cleaning of surgical suites, utilizing floor scrubbers, burnishers/buffers, hanging & replacing curtains, stocking supplies, stocking linen as needed and other department tasks as needed. Unusual Working Conditions: Working with chemicals; risk of blood, body fluid contamination.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
- Knowledge of waste and infectious waste and chemicals
- Knowledge of proper use of personal protective equipment
