About The Position

At Garden Spot Village, our Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and consistently, supporting the comfort, dignity, and well-being of the people who live in our community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid drivers license required
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Strong sense of responsibility and personal cleanliness
Kind, cheerful, and respectful approach when interacting with residents
Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and staff development

Responsibilities

Follow housekeeping schedules, assignments, and established cleaning procedures
Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, corridors, stairwells, lounges, offices, and public restrooms
Assemble and organize cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper function and safe use
Perform housekeeping tasks including dusting, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, restocking supplies, mopping floors, spot-cleaning walls and windows, and vacuuming carpet and upholstery
Use proper PPE depending on the cleaning area and task
Report structural issues, equipment malfunctions, evidence of pests, and needed repairs to the supervisor
Maintain and clean housekeeping equipment after each use
Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety regulations
Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold Residents’ Rights
Attend required in-service trainings and demonstrate consistent dependability and punctuality
Work cooperatively with residents, families, staff, and service providers
Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
