About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all public and common areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms. The Housekeeper will ensure that handrails, walls, mirrors, windows, and fixtures are clean and free of debris. This position also involves emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and utilizing proper safety measures when cleaning. The Housekeeper must maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a safe and sanitary manner, and report any resident safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Ability to utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage.
- Ability to keep supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents.
- Ability to use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following user manual instructions.
- Ability to maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
- Ability to notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
- Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
- Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
- Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.
- Empty trash cans and replace liners.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
- Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
- Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
- Supervision and provision of resident/staff/facility safety and procedure/protocol.
