About The Position

Performs a variety of environmental service functions designed to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The position involves cleaning and supplying hospital and service building areas using various equipment and chemicals to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for patients, customers, and staff. It also requires adherence to safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides cleaning services in a timely manner to all areas of the organization.
  • Cleans and supplies the hospital and services building areas through the use of equipment such as household type vacuum, buffing machines, extractors and other necessary tools.
  • Utilizes various chemicals to provide a clean and sanitary environment to all patients, customers and staff areas across the organization.
  • Practices and is observant of safety, infection and universal precautions.
  • Properly stocks and cleans housekeeping carts and closets.
  • Services all areas to include patient ages newborn through geriatric.
  • Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, reach and use Proper Protective Safety Equipment frequently.
