About The Position

Christenson Communities is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Housekeeper for The Ravines at Park Avenue in Rocky Mountain House, AB. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. The position requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning and light maintenance duties. Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning duties.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in geriatrics.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping, residential, or commercial cleaning.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with multi-purpose cleaners, including knowledge of safe chemical mixing.
  • Proficiency in operating various cleaning equipment.
  • Familiarity with seniors housing and industry terminology.
  • Proficiency in light residential maintenance duties.
  • Completion of Grade 10 or higher.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the position (may be required to lift items weighing over 20 kilograms).
  • Ability to work on feet for a complete shift while constantly bending, stretching, walking, lifting, or moving things.
  • Must be bondable by corporate insurer.
  • A current and clear Criminal Records check with Vulnerable Sector Search is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform light duty cleaning tasks.
  • Empty garbage containers and remove waste materials.
  • Service and clean washrooms.
  • Dust and polish furniture, ensuring proper arrangement.
  • Wash and polish glass and windows.
  • Spot wash walls.
  • Vacuum carpets, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Sweep, damp mop, and scrub floors.
  • Sort, count, mark, and fold linens.
  • Make beds or change bedding.
  • Collect soiled linens and garbage.
  • Perform in-house laundry services (Blue Bird service).
  • Scrub, disinfect, and polish bathroom fixtures.
  • Replace towels, soap, and other supplies.
  • Report any damage, theft, or found articles to the Executive Director.
  • Maintain well-stocked, clean, and tidy storage areas and carts.
  • Maintain inventories of supplies.
  • Inform Resident Service Coordinator when Guest Suite and cleaning supplies are low to facilitate ordering.
  • Identify and communicate the need for painting, repairs, furnishings, equipment relocation, and space reallocation.
  • Perform other duties and various projects as requested by the Community Manager.
