About The Position
Caring Place Healthcare Group is seeking dedicated Housekeepers to help create a comfortable and caring environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere within the facility.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10th grade education required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to interact positively with residents, families, and staff
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift (50+ lbs), and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas including hallways, dining rooms, and recreational spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and perform carpet cleaning as needed
- Clean and sanitize surfaces such as furniture, countertops, sinks, toilets, and showers
- Clean walls, windows, mirrors, vents, elevators, and stairways as needed
- Dispose of trash and hazardous waste in accordance with facility policies
- Restock housekeeping and sanitation supplies throughout the facility
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens and clothing
- Report maintenance needs or safety concerns to leadership
- Support residents during mealtimes by assisting with trays and observing/reporting concerns
- Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and caring environment for residents and team members
- Participate in required trainings, in-services, and team meetings
