About The Position
Seabury at Pomperaug Woods is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department while actively participating in the work alongside staff. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, coaching team members, and ensuring every resident experiences the comfort of a well-maintained home.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, sanitation practices, and infection control standards
- A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional customer service
Nice To Haves
- Prior supervisory experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or hotel environments preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, and support housekeeping staff
- Perform cleaning duties in resident apartments, common areas, and healthcare spaces as needed
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Coordinate daily assignments, apartment cleanings, and special projects
- Manage housekeeping supply inventory and ordering
- Promote infection control and safety standards throughout the community
- Respond to resident requests with professionalism and hospitality
- Foster a positive, productive, and resident-focused team culture
- Partner with leadership to ensure department goals and service standards are achieved
