About The Position

The Carriages of Bloomington is seeking a hard-working, dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry team member to help maintain its building and resident apartments. The role supports a clean and safe assisted living community with a family-like atmosphere and serves residents, including those in assisted living and memory care settings. The environmental services team is led by a manager who invests time in frontline staff. Workdays are usually completed by 4:00 pm.

Requirements

• A strong desire to help others and compassion for older adults.
• A love for cleaning.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Complete a criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, including changing beds, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows, bathrooms, and kitchenettes.
• Handle laundry and linens weekly or as needed.
• Clean common areas, including bathrooms, social spaces, the wellness area, entryways, and exits.
• Assist maintenance staff with duties such as room turnovers, carpet cleaning, and using the floor scrubber.
• Maintain proper sanitation protocols for a healthcare setting.
• Work in assisted living and memory care settings.
