About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to help maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role includes collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry; operating equipment safely; and maintaining a sanitary environment in accordance with infection control and universal precautions policies. The Laundry Worker also interacts with residents, staff, and guests and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Work around cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.

• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
