About The Position
Webster at Rye is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join its housekeeping team. The role calls for a reliable, motivated, flexible team member who can adapt, communicate well, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is professional and dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Good organizational skills, enthusiasm, speed, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuing basis and work despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lb.

- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service community areas, including rooms, apartments, offices, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
- Clean, scrub, wet- and dry-mop, vacuum, and dust floors, windows, radiators, equipment, toilets, sinks, mirrors, doors, appliances, walls, tile areas, furniture, fixtures, and other vertical and horizontal surfaces.
- Empty trash baskets and dispose of trash in the dumpster daily.
- Participate in special cleaning projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Consistently produce a clean, quality work area each day.
- Use cleaning chemicals and compounds safely and as designed.
- Keep the cart and supply caddy neat and clean.
- Follow safety data sheets (SDS), Hazard Communication Standards, and Right-to-Know law.
- Practice and take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of the immediate work environment, including staff and residents.
- Follow fire safety drills and know the department’s fire and evacuation procedures for the work area.
- Communicate challenges, ideas, or suggestions to the Supervisor and/or Director.
- Attend community-sponsored in-services and trainings.
