About The Position

The Housekeeper/Janitor performs cleaning duties to maintain a clean environment throughout the Billings Clinic campus and branch locations. The role may involve cleaning in one or more areas, including patient rooms, patient care areas, public spaces, offices, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and laundry areas. The position may also provide laundry services for specific units, coordinating daily needs with departments and handling soiled and clean laundry and linen.

Responsibilities

Clean and service assigned areas throughout Billings Clinic, including occupied and discharged patient rooms, isolation rooms, patient care areas, public access areas, waiting rooms, offices, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and laundry areas.
Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing, and refinishing hard surfaces; shampoo carpets and furniture.
Remove trash and linen from assigned areas.
Wash windows, walls, vents, lights, and baseboards using appropriate disinfectants.
Dust and polish hard surfaces.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies within Billings Clinic and to off-site storage as necessary; change curtains and drapes as needed.
Deliver and replenish supplies as needed.
When assigned, coordinate daily laundry service needs with departments; collect, sort, and weigh soiled laundry, linen, and garments; fold, count, stack, and distribute clean laundry and linen garments.
Maintain competency in organizational, departmental, and outside agency standards related to the environment, employee safety, patient safety, and job performance.
Identify needs and set goals for personal growth and development; meet mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
Support and model behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct, and service expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet department or organizational needs.
