About The Position
Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well-established guidelines and assigned areas. Maintains all areas of the facility in as clean and orderly as possible, using safe work practices and correct body mechanics in accordance with established procedures as well as state regulations. A secondary, but very important aspect of this position is to treat all members of the Orchard Cove community with respect and caring at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Command of English strongly preferred
- Knowledge of infection control policies
- Knowledge of heavy equipment performance
Nice To Haves
- One to two years housekeeping experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Clean member apartments according to written assignments
- Stay in assigned areas and assist other associates as necessary or directed
- Conducting “flipper check”
- Wash, dust, polish, vacuum and sweep all areas of the apartment
- Clean sinks, tubs, showers and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards
- Clean mirrors and windows
- Sort and wash laundry using machines
- Empty and clean trash cans
- Clean common areas according to written assignments
- Clean mirrors, sinks and toilets in common area restrooms according to prescribed sanitary standards
- Remove debris/trash from the front of the building, driveways, and all common areas inside or out
- Wash, dust, polish, vacuum and sweep all areas of the lobby and commons area including the Front Desk and elevators
- Empties ashtrays and urns
- Periodically check and restock all supplies including toilet paper, soap and hand towels in common area restrooms
- Arrange all cushions properly on lobby sofa
- Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to established housekeeping procedures
- Observe and report any maintenance issues
- Listen and respond to resident, guest and staff requests and inquiries
- Stock and clean storage area for equipment and supplies
- Maintain all equipment used in performing duties
- Following safety and infection control procedures
- Perform other housekeeping related tasks as assigned
