Housekeeper I/II (24/D)
About The Position
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. This position is 24 hours per week, with a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and includes rotating weekends and holidays. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of assigned areas within the hospital, including the maintenance and sanitation of equipment. This role also involves function setups, moving requests, and performing related services such as bed moves and stocking housekeeping supplies. A key responsibility includes collecting soiled linen from clinical locations and transporting full linen carts to designated distribution points throughout the hospital. It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.
Requirements
- A thorough working knowledge of hospital, departmental and infection control procedures.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral directions in English at the 12th grade level.
- Must be 18 years old
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of environment of assigned areas.
- Maintenance and sanitation of equipment.
- Responsible for function setups and moving requests.
- Performs related services, such as bed moves, stocking housekeeping supplies, etc.
- Collect soiled linen from clinical locations throughout the hospital.
- Transports full linen carts to designated distribution locations throughout the hospital.
