The primary responsibility of the housekeeping staff is to clean and maintain hotel rooms in a timely manner, ensuring they are clean and pleasant for guests. Duties include daily room preparation, changing linens, maintaining linen closets, cleaning toilets, sinks, and showers, and cleaning floors. Housekeepers may also assist maintenance (janitorial) staff, support the front desk, assist guests with requests (e.g., ironing boards, cribs), and answer guest questions. This role is crucial for providing guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Housekeepers are responsible for the finished rooms, cleaning projects, and knowledge of company policies and procedures related to housekeeping. Excellent customer service is required, along with mental agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Housekeepers must work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 16+ years old
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
• Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel rooms in a timely manner.
• Ensure guest rooms are clean and pleasant.
• Daily preparation of rooms.
• Change linens on the bed.
• Upkeep of linen closets.
• Cleaning of toilets, sinks, and showers.
• Cleaning floors.
• Assist maintenance (janitorial) staff when needed.
• Provide support to the front desk as needed.
• Assist guests in any manner possible (e.g., getting ironing boards, cribs).
• Answer questions of all sorts.
• Provide excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures as they relate to housekeeping.
