About The Position

McMenamins Hotel Oregon is hiring a Part-Time Housekeeper / Hotel Front Desk Agent. Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current OLCC permit.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
  • Mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous related hotel or customer service experience.
  • Some accounting skills and cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Experience with high volume phone lines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily preparation of hotel rooms, including changing linens and cleaning toilets, sinks, and showers.
  • Upkeep of linen closets and cleaning of floors.
  • Assisting maintenance (janitorial) staff when needed.
  • Providing support to the front desk as needed.
  • Assisting guests with requests such as obtaining ironing boards or cribs.
  • Answering guest questions.
  • Ensuring guest rooms are clean and pleasant.
  • Being responsible and accountable for finished rooms and cleaning projects.
  • Providing excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers.
  • Attending to the reservation and occupancy needs of the guest.
  • Checking hotel guests in and out of hotel rooms.
  • Taking reservations in person, by email, or by phone.
  • Handling money.
  • Signing in and out property keys, pagers, and phones.
  • Assisting with guest requests.
  • Answering and directing phone calls.
  • Informing guests of property and area attractions.
  • Ensuring the satisfaction of all guests.
  • Keeping abreast of all events on property.
  • Acting as a receptionist for all departments.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures.
